CrowdSnap is a research (Data collection and Analytics) platform. The new product component (SurveySafe) Leverage Sia’s decentralized storage for securely storing survey responses and research data, ensuring data integrity, privacy, and control for research owners.

Hello, I believe you have a bit of a mix up. If you want to store data, you need renterd which has a built in wallet. walletd is just for managing SC only.

Additionally be aware Sia is not like smart contract chains and the “contract” stuff are more under the hood and everything you do will usually be via a rest API unless you are trying to target more advanced goals. In short you can see it as a decentralized S3 as renterd API is s3-inspired.

Yes primary requirement is to build a storage that is capable of provisioning a ownership to researcher only.

You might also consider looking at both IPFS and S5, as P2P protocols (in addition? to S3-like). Unsure your exact business/technical requirements, but the ecosystem will support both. The foundation already has a IPFS ↔ Sia bridge.
