Small Grant Proposal - Technical Video Wiki

Project Name: Blockchain Gazette

Project Lead: Stanford B. (LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/stanford-b-4002a5235/details/experience/)

Project Description:

This project involves the production of a whiteboard animation series for developers and users centered on the Sia Blockchain. In this first part series, 5 whiteboard video animations related to the Sia Blockchain will be produced in English.

How does the projected outcome serve the Foundation’s mission of user-owned data?

There is limited technical documentation for the Sia Blockchain available. By making Sia-related technical documentation accessible in whiteboard video form, this project has potential to expand

  • the knowledge base of developers, and
  • the Sia community.

Grant Specifics

Amount of money requested and justification with a reasonable breakdown of expenses:

10,000 USD requested in total ($5,000 paid upfront), split into two monthly milestones.

  • 2 Professional Script Writers ($3,000):

($300 per video x 5 x 2)

  • 1 Professional Video Animationist ($5,000):

($1,000 per video * 5)

  • 2 Professional Male and Female Voice-Over Actors ($2,000):

($200 per video x 5 x 2)

Total = $10,000

Milestone 1 (By End of December, 2023):

  • 40% (2) of the 5 whiteboard animation videos would be produced within one month of the project.

Milestones 2 (By End of January 2024):

  • 100% (5) of the whiteboard animation videos would have been produced within two months of the project.

What are the goals of this small grant?

  • Produce a Sia Blockchain exclusive Video Wiki containing exclusive video technical documentation for developers and end-users.

Potential risks that will affect the outcome of the project:

  1. Lack of resources as it relates to funding is the only perceivable risk to the best of our knowledge.
