The Middle East’s Web3 adoption process needs a shift in traditional approaches and local perspectives to improve its growth rate. There is a significant lack of financial awareness and education in the region, which we aim to address through bridging the gap between English and Arabic speakers, providing opportunities for non-developers, creating jobs, and educating people on cryptocurrency. We are motivated to push this message with the following focus areas:

  • Educate Arabic speakers about financial awareness and cryptocurrency.
  • Accelerate the adoption of Web 3.0.
  • Expand the quality of Arabic crypto media.

Grant Specifics
We will create a series of 3 videos about Sia. In addition to that we will be explaining Sia in an easy way to understand through a Twitter thread. We will host a developer from Sia’s team to talk about the project and to let the Arabic community connect directly with Sia’s team.
This will help us create and manage a community of Arabic speakers interested in Sia’s ecosystem and keep them updated on the latest news. By the end of the grant, there will be a quiz about Sia made in Arabic to reward the users who watched the videos and read the thread and understood Sia the best.

Hello Zaki,

After committee review, they have decided to decline this proposal. The committee is concerned with being able to assess the outcome without having anyone on the team who can speak the language, and our inability to continue serving whatever community might arise from this effort.

The Sia Foundation greatly appreciates your proposal. We have received requests for this type of work before and will decide internally if we want to pursue grants like this in the future. If we do, and we’re interested in renewing this conversation, we’ll reach out in this thread. Thank you!

Regards,
Kino on behalf of the Sia Foundation and Grants Committee
