is there a need or benefit to have the consensus.db on a SSD or can i move it to the HDD with the storage dir? (hostd)

There’s a huge performance benefit in having the consensus on an SSD vs. an HDD. We are talking about the sync times of hours vs. days.

I don’t think you can move consensus.db alone, without all the rest.
Sia is very I/O-intensive when it comes to doing micro-updates on the running contracts. I understand that you want to free some disk space for your OS. And while it is possible to have the metadata on an HDD, there is a significant performance overhead in doing that.
