How to Delete Sia-UI & Start Over?
-
Need help and your patience. When setting up the Sia-UI and establishing the wallet, I accidentally hit the close button before writing down the wallet seed. (No big deal since nothing was in it.) But now when I open it it keeps asking me to unlock wallet and gives me no option of deleting and establishing a new wallet. Furthermore, it keeps synchronizing to the blockchain.
I'm running Linux Ubuntu 16.04 ... but I've been a Mac user all my life -- no laughter, pls -- and am bewildered by how to do this very simple thing. Apparently there are processes running in the background that I need to kill using the command line terminal?
Thx

in the gui, type the command
siac stopinto the terminal plugin. This will kill the siad process. Then you can close the window, go into your folder and delete the wallet, and start over with a new wallet.

Thank you for you help. The command siac stop did what you said. But when you say, "go into your folder and delete the wallet," what folder are you referring to? The Sia folder that I created when I extracted the Sia-UI zip file? There is no wallet there that I can find.

@Taek When you have the opportunity to answer, I'm all ears. No hurry, but I am looking forward to having a functional wallet & UI. Unfortunately, I forgot to reply directly to you in my last post.

On linux, it'll be in .config/Sia-UI/sia/wallet

@Taek Thank you. That worked. The reason I wasn't seeing it was because it was a hidden file. Had to go into my file preferences and select "Show hidden and backup files."
