Error When Starting Sia
-
Many months ago, a HD that was used for Sia hosting crashed and was not recoverable so all contracts were lost. I took some time away, but am trying to get set up for hosting again, but I'm running into a problem when trying to install a fresh download of Sia.
I have 2 different Windows 7 PC's. On both of them, when I download Sia 1.1.1, I get the following error:
"A Sia-UI error has occured: Siad unexpectedly closed."
How can I get past this initial error? I can't even get to the point where I can synchronize the wallet...

Hi... I had exactly the same issue twice!? I got some good help from this thread:
https://forum.sia.tech/topic/859/restart-of-sia-ui
There is also an advice of which files you need to back up in order to have restore point. Seems related to the JSON files that can some how corrupt in a WIN envirnment.

I'm not sure what's going on here, we'd need to see the error that 'Siad' is spitting out. Unfortunately, I don't think that there's an easy way to get this error. If you hit Ctrl+Shift+L then you'll be brought to the 'logs' plugin. In that plugin, there's a 'siad' tab which may have the error message.
If you can get that to me I can help you figure out why it's failing. Sorry that it's not easier to get a helpful error message, we're working on it.

@Taek ctrl-shift-L is not doing anything, it stays on the error screen.
