Quiting SIA, how do i get back collateral & allowance?
-
I tried sia now and it's not for me
so i deleted all my files, but ther still seems to be most of my allowance "locked up" same goes for most of my collateral i guess, as i havent had any "clients" to host data for.
how do i get back these 10.000 SC ?
thanks

Sad to see you go! Do you have some feedback for us about why Sia is not a good fit for you?
For the allowance, it will be automatically returned to you after 12 weeks. Unfortunately there's not currently any way to get the coins back faster.
For the collateral, if you are hosting, you actually need to keep running the host until you've completed the contracts, or you lose the collateral. This is of course the point of the collateral - it's damaging to the network if you leave early. You will want to make sure that you set 'accepting contracts' to false, which will ensure that no new contracts are formed and that you get all of your collateral back after 12 weeks instead of continually putting up more collateral.

it works fine i guess, it was just not the kind of storage i was looking for (hosting my media to stream it)

Thanks for the feedback.
We plan to add support for streaming in the next 6-9 months. First we will be improving the speeds (eta Jan.), but then we will be adding support for sharing files and in-order downloads. Might be worth checking back at that point if you are still looking for a good solution.

I put up a directory as a host a while ago, but it pretty much deducted the entire amount of an incomining original transaction - how do I get that amount back? It's not showing in my wallet and it's been more than 12 weeks. Is it lost because that pc with the host went down? Why was it that amount, I thought it would be much much less...not some arbitrary incoming transaction amnount!
