Uploading/Downloading Files to SIA UI

Hi All,
I have downloaded the Sia UI v1.0.3 and deployed in Ubuntu Machine to explore about the decentralized storage. Now, am not able to Upload/Download any files to it. Can somebody tell or suggest any links for using the UI for Upload/Download files to Sia. Thanks in advance.

First you need to add money to your wallet, then you need to set an allowance for the renter, and then finally you will be able to start uploading and downloading files.

Easier said than done. I too wanted to evaluate SIA datastorage both as farmer and storage client.
Background - I'm a newbie to Sia but not to Bitcoin; AltCoin Mining,; or Cloud Server Admin (CENTOS/DEBIAN/UBUNTU - WHM/Cpanel/Apache/PHP).
I tried 3 times to transfer Siacoin from Poloniex to my Sia Wallet and each transfer quickly failed with (unidentified) error message after a minute or two.
Poloniex support refunded me and suggested I try again and hope for a glitch free transfer.. They commented that SIA wallet interface is 'flaky' and their devs are working with Sia to try stabilise such transfer glitches.

Their devs have not contacted us. We have tried repeatedly to get in touch with them but to no avail.
Is it possible they are talking to people pretending to be Sia devs? That might explain the issues.
In the meantime, you can use Yunbi or Bitsquare.
