How to use the .sia file for sharing files?

Hi!
In the FAQ there is a section on how to share files using the ".sia" metada file.
My question is: How to use it? I mean:
"I" as a owner, have my ".sia" file, and I send this file to a "friend".... What next? How my friend uses this file for download my file?

Sharing is currently not possible, the devs are working on it.
Here a quote from the lead dev a few days ago on when it will be implemented again:
hopefully Q2 2017
+/- 6 additional months
it's more of a priority than it was before though, I figured out how to implement it
