Can i open my own Pool?

Can i open my own mining pool for sia coin? If yes, then what sort of hardware and software required for it?

To the best of my knowledge, all of the mining pools in Sia are closed source, so you'd have to code a pool yourself.

I'm working on a p2pool that can also be used to allow outside miners to connect to a node. Work on it has stalled a bit but I hope to find some time again.
