Constant 12.5 sc withdrawals, Normal??? All adding up :(

    Hi again all, once again may not be a problem, just trying to get my head around this system as best I can before making decisions about how far to go down this rabbit hole.

    So I've been hosting now for 46 days (just thought I'd review my progress). I have been charging 500sc/tb @250sc collateral, for 52 weeks with a bandwidth cost of 1sc. I currently have 47 contracts with 960sc expected (1434sc locked collateral) from a 500gb spare drive.

    I have always been aware of a constant stream of 12.5sc withdrawals from my wallet whilst hosting. They occur approx every 2hours, with some periods more frequently withdrawing approx every 1 hour. I assumed these were the system making periodic checks of up-time, data availability, connection quality etc. Is this correct?

    If so does anyone else encounter this or have any concerns, as over the past 46 days it has withdrawn 3155sc via this process (checked via my exchange withdrawal history and current wallet value considering locked collateral).

    Basically all these 12.5sc are adding up. Particularly as I've received no payment as yet from renters, and when I do I'm only to expect 960sc (1/3 of what I've lost to the system)

    Any thoughts, suggestions or fix's if required?

    12.5 SC is precisely the cost of announcing your host, so it would almost seem as if your host is constantly announcing itself. There is a way to check this. Open up your wallet and copy/paste the Siacoin address to which the 12.5 SC was sent (one of the times), here:

    https://explore.sia.tech

    Here's an example of how an announcement transaction looks like:

    If your transaction has the Data section, then it is probably an announcement.

    It would be good to hear from @Taek or @nemo, however, why your host is repeatedly auto-announcing.

    Oh, and if I am right and all those 12.5 SC transactions are announcements, then these funds will never be returned to you.

    This then leads me to ask, can I uninstall/re-install Sia to try and remove the bug, keep the same hosting folder and not lose my contracts using my seed?

    Think I've found the bug when going through the host json settings log. I'll add supporting data at the bottom but would appreciate clarification.

    My constant announcement spend is due to Siac switching IP address' between my IPv4 and IPv6 address (even though I have a static address). I have no idea why every couple of hours it is unhappy with the previous settings it chose, but none the less it's gleefully spent a few thousand Sia for me, as each time it does this it sends a new announcement.

    As a temporary fix I've disabled IPv 6 in my windows network adapter settings, (as I need to use ipv4 to connect to other devices on my network through my browser) but are the developers able to implement a more permanent fix. I'm not sure how many others this will affect in the future, but can siac only recognise either ipv4 or ipv6 to resolve any future conflicts.
