Same wallet, different balances and behaviour

  • Sorry for yet another thread :X

So the original wallet is on my Linux machine and the copy is on my Windows PC (literal wallet.json copy).
Something is wrong with the Windows PC copy, because the balance is off and so are the transactions. Like so:

    -4913 SC 706d29ea77e24940c95daf9741697776e3e73169b418f935d8645cf1512ea1a3 Confirmed
    4913 SC 2f692e0c23111d11d313dc81a77dd57e4ef9f409c0531d64db4c6053b0f3f97f Confirmed

So first, 4913 SC is received and instantly "gone".
On the Linux machine, it just confirmed it and it's there.

I saw another topic with this issue and he mentioned that the PrimarySeedProgress was different.
And yes, they are. The value on the Windows PC is lower than on the Linux machine.

Resetting siad or locking/unlocking the wallet did nothing. It's still "behind" on the Linux machine, despite the blockchain being fully synchronized. They are the exact same wallet, I even use the same password for both of them.

Why is one out of date and how do I fix it? D:

  • Also getting this now in the siad

Critical error: incorrectly sized sector passed to AddSector in the storage manager
Please submit a bug report here: https://github.com/NebulousLabs/Sia/issues

  • @Core-Dev @Global-Moderators

    ^not sure if that's annoying but I could really use the assistance ;-;
    Especially regarding the second issue.

  • Hi,

I had the same issue (you've probably seen my thread). In order to solve this, you have to pick the greatest value of PrimarySeedProgress of both hosts, and edit the other's host wallet.json in order to make it match.

Once done, a restart is need (unlock/lock is not enough), and unlock.

For now, it seems that Sia is not ready to share wallet on several hosts, so I now have 2 wallets (one on my mac, the other on my linux host).

For you second error, I have no clue...

    Sand.
