Adding Siacoin to Asian exchanges

  • In these last few days markets have been on fire and apparently new buyers in China are seem to be playing an important role.

So I just thought why not try and get Siacoin in that boat, too? Maybe we have some people around who are able to submit a proposal to major Asian exchanges, asking to add Sia to their listings?

Maybe we could even prepare standard proposals that other people could just copy/paste to make for a bigger crowd. Google can translate webpages, and that should be enough to navigate through webforms.

  • Translation of the UI would be nice too. If you look here (click All on that page) there have been a few hosts in China.

About China, though, I am more worried about Sia working at all (c.f. the "Great Firewall"). If it doesn't, I would care less about China for the time being.

If anyone has a friend inside China maybe ask just to test if it works? I'll sponsor with some free coins.

Bitcoin miners have been able to get things working with the GFW, but I have minimal confidence that Sia would also work.

  • My idea is to add Sia to Asian exchanges. This will broaden the investor range. I'm thinking about people buying, holding or using SC. I'm not thinking about mining. The GFW should not matter much for trading and running wallets, right?

  • @in-cred-u-lous Yes, I think providing localized Asian translations for the Sia website and GUI would help a lot to get Asian investors onboard.

  • More exchanges is always a good idea. They generally seem hard to approach though. The voting system on some (lousy) exchanges seems totally rigged, or worse simply a way for exchanges to collect voting fees. Is there a Chinese exchange similar to Poloniex, that lists a large number of altcoins?
