Not seeing all hosts in hostdb

On one of my machines running Sia, there's only 75 hosts in the host database (IPv4, IPv6 and hostnames) while on another Sia sees only 32 hosts. All hosts on the second box are either IPv4 or hostnames, no IPv6. This does not explain the big discrepancy, however, since there are many more IPv4 hosts on the first box which the second one also does not see.

I have opened up ports 9980, 9981 and 9982 in the firewall but don't think this is a reason.

Anyone with ideas what could be wrong?

Update: Overnight the number of hosts grew to 44 (from 32).

Did the machine with fewer hosts spend any amount of time offline (like, the machine was running but disconnected from the internet)? I think that if your own machine is offline, it'll start penalizing and removing remote hosts from the hostdb.

Also, is there a big geographic difference between where the two machines are? It could be network instability that's causing you to see fewer hosts.

There may be other causes too. I'm trying to brainstorm potential issues. I'm not sure how good the logging is, but having hostdb.log might help.
