What the SIA is going on with the miner and WALLET !!!
-
So last week i made a brave leap to leave ETH and start mining SIA. I downloaded the go miner and the wallet client from the SIA site. Updated the relevant files in the go miner folder with the wallet address which was automatically generated by the SIA wallet client. Left it hashing away and went to sleep. Woke up with the sia wallet client refusing to load and show anything at all. Also the gominer not connecting. WTF SIA ???
Image below is what i get when i try to mine

This image is what i get when i try to load the client .

I read somewre that it might be something to do with the windows firewall ive made sure the firewall allows sia wallet and the miner and still have issues.
HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you wait for blockchain sync? It can be checked with
siac consensusAlso, the wallet should be unlocked to be able to mine.
I'm not sure where did you put your wallet address for the gominer. It should not be needed when you solo mine, just run gominer.exe without parameters and that's it.

A few other users have been reporting similar problems on Windows 7. If the GUI isn't loading try running the following in a command prompt, ie cmd.exe and post the results here:
C:\REPLACE_ME_WITH_WHERE_SIA_IS\Sia-UI-win32-x64\resources\app\Sia\siad.exe -d %APPDATA%\Sia-UI\siaWhere you make sure to replace the string "REPLACE_ME_WITH_WHERE_SIA_IS" with the location of the Sia-UI-win32-x64 folder.

excuse for not being as tech savvy as i should be with this command line stuff. i typed everything as stated but did not get a result. Step by step of how to do it. When i open my CMD it automaticaly takes me to c:\users\myusername not sure how to bring it back to c:\

@jeffro89 Np, the hardest part is figuring out where your Sia-UI folder is. If you hunt it down in the explorer and click on the file path in the top bar you it'll turn into text you can copy.
You can then right click in the terminal, hit
pastethen type thesiad.exe -d %APPDATA%\Sia-UI\siapart of the url in after the pasted text.
When you are done it should look something like:
C:\Users\John\Desktop\Sia-UI-win32-x64-v1.0.2\Sia-UI-win32-x64\resources\app\Sia\siad.exe -d %APPDATA%\Sia-UI\sia
-
@droghio so i have the results.

@jeffro89 Sorry about the delay, it appears you have a data corruption in your renter folder. If you go to
%APPDATA\Sia-UI\sia\renteryou should see the following files:- contractor.json
- hostdb.json
- contractor.log
- hostdb.log
- renter.log
If you could make a backup of those files, and if possible either post them on the slack or via email, you should get Sia back up and running by deleting the
consensus.jsonandhostdb.jsonfiles.
