How to forward 9982 & 9981 ports?
-
Ok cred I seem to be having a problem with this too as I am not getting any contracts for days. So my question is. How do I forward ports on windows 10. I am not using a router and I've activated the Upnp (network discovery) but it's still not working. Please help with this if you can....thanks.

I'm not a Windows user so cannot help too much here. Perhaps check your Windows firewall if Sia is allowed to use ports.

Set rule in the windows 10 firewall for Sia to be able to use those ports...but it's still not working.

If you're not using a router with NAT, then you don't "forward" ports at all, since that term refers to letting requests jump from the router to a chosen computer behind its NAT.
If there is a local firewall running, then you should allow communication to those ports in the firewall, which is different.
If you're both behind a router and using a local firewall, then you should do both things.uPnP isn't used yet by Sia, I believe.
Are you positive you have been assigned a public IP by your ISP in the first place? One that is reachable from the outside internet?

@LjL have allowed communications in those ports through the windows 10 firewall, but still no go.

Check if your ports are properly forwarded using this tool: http://www.canyouseeme.org/
Use this website for assistance in forwarding ports: http://portforward.com/

That is incorrect. Sia has had support for upnp for several months now.

@Taek Time to update https://github.com/NebulousLabs/Sia/blob/859e32893991ecd99eb12235b97ee3150e58feab/README.md then, because it still says "In future versions, we will add support for UPnP" ;-)

Ah thanks. Opened a PR to fix it:
