SiaMining.com - First PPS Pool - LP, VarDiff, 3% Fee
-
SiaMining.com went live this morning. Features:
Pay-Per-Share - 3% fee - Get paid even with orphaned blocks.
Long Polling support - Minimize those stale shares!
Variable Difficulty - Improves network efficiency and provides more accurate miner statistics.
No Account setup - Simply use your wallet address as the username for easy payouts.
Worker Support - Detailed statistics of each worker.
Quick Payouts - Payments every 6 hours. No waiting on block confirmations!
-
what's the differences between this and nanopool?
-
Unlike PPLNS, PPS pays you even if the block is orphaned.
Unlike PPLSN, PPS can not cheat you out of work. You can see how many shares you submit. Nothing is averaged.Nanopool has a fixed difficulty. For smaller miners, it's hard to hash the work. If the work is too hard, miners experience more stale shares.
With variable difficulty, faster miners get tougher pieces of work (which are worth more), this results in less network consumption.
We support long polling. This means the miner gets new work faster, and it's less CPU overhead on both the server and client.

Compiled gominer using your manual for nVidia 970 and only getting 568Mh under Debian 8 x64. What's wrong? - SIA CUDA Miner was giving 1028 when solomining.
-
Aynone getting high CPU usage on gominer with linux and nvidia cards? Any fixes?

This is a common nVidia driver issue. It's independent of our pool. There is a sia cuda miner we are looking at.
-
nVidia is slower with OpenCL compared to AMD.
Sia-Cuda-Miner uses CUDA, which is faster on nVidia cards.
-
A SIA Cuda miner with a pool mod has been completed. See here: https://github.com/KlausT/Sia-CUDA-Miner/releases/tag/4.00
I've tested it, and it's been working on my desktop.
-
@xurious Are you using Linux or windows?

I'm on windows. Using whatever the latest nvidia drivers are.
-
@xurious Ah ok, I just tried compiling it on Linux but the author doesn't have the necessary commands. I tried the one in the issue log but i get an error in the code.
-
I tried connecting to siaminer.com but I get "cannot fetch work". Works fine with nanopool.
-
Is the payout after we reached a specific amount of SC?
Nvm. Found it on the website
-
-
@mirny it added that automatically, didn't seem to help. Will try later after work.

What was your command line for this?
-
tried to build the miner but failed. any idea why ?
go build
github.com/SiaMining/gominer
./network.go:51:3: error: unknown field ‘Timeout’ in ‘http.Client’
Timeout: timeout,/network.go:115:3: error: unknown field ‘Timeout’ in ‘http.Client’
Timeout: time.Second * 10,

^You need a more recent version of Go. At least version 1.3.

@xurious it's working now... It had something to do with my Bat file. Ran from cmd line and it works. Odd because the bat file worked for nano pool.
It put an eof somewhere in the address.
-
So because the difficulty Increased by 50 percent, does that mean we should be earning 50 percent less?

That would do it!
