Problem uploading files.
-
After I select files to upload, I get a black screen (see screenshot). I am able to switch between other tabs on the left, (Overview, Hosting, Wallet, About etc.), but whenever I go to the Files tab, I get the exact screen that you can see in the screenshot.)
. I'm running Windows 7.

It doesn't look like your screenshot made it onto the forum. Are you running a 64bit or 32bit version of Windows?

There's a screenshot there. Click the white space between 'screenshot.) . I'm running"

@xurious Thanks for the catch.
@moup Can you repeat this behavior? If so when in the Files plugin can you press Cntrl + Shift + P and see if there are any errors being reported?

Ubuntu 15.10, When I go to upload, the file names are all grey so I can't select any file to click 'upload'. It says my account has 9GB, although I had bought 10GB, but it charged my account like 10x as many SIA as it estimated and then showed 11GB. Can anyone speak to some of these things, although the uploading files would be the most important one and on this thread of course. Thank you.

Which version of Sia-UI are you running? This was an issue with an older version. If you hover over the "Upload Files" button does another appear below it called "Upload Folders"? If so can you confirm that if you hit "Upload Files" that you still have the grayed out files?

OK, upgrade complete! I see upload happening! You rock!!

@hiranyakasipu Good to hear!
As for your other questions there were also price estimation issues with the old version. Those should be mostly fixed with the latest release. The main issue is that when you "buy" storage you are really just setting aside that money to use for future file contracts. Until you actually use that money, the price of storage will fluctuate with the market. That means the 10GB worth of storage the UI showed you a month ago is let's say 8-12GB worth when you go to use it.
As the market matures and price stabilizes this should be much less of an issue, and the old version of the UI greatly overestimated the cost of storage which is why it locked up so much. The bright side is that any SC you don't use at the end of the contract time will return to your wallet. I believe this is 3 months by default. In the mean time you can use the money you set aside to upload files as you normally would and be charged the going market price.
