Sia V. 1.0 - Sia-UI couln't locate siac

    Whenever I attempt to open my MAC wallet I receive a pop-up indicating "Sia-UI couldn't locate siac" When I click OK it opens finder attempting to locate a file?

    I did a bit of research and it appears as though I might be getting the error because I moved the Sia UI to "applications" I moved it back to downloads, where it was originally. When I open Sia-UI I get the error that it cannot locate SIAD. When I navigate to the SIA UI and click it opens up but just hangs at "Loading SIA"

    Odd, the siad and siac binaries are packaged inside the app meaning you are free to move it about your hard drive. If you right click the Sia-UI.app package and go to Show Package Contents > Content > Resources > app > Sia what do you see?

    Doc Folder and siac, siac.sig, siad and siad.sig files.

    @droghio Thanks for the response. I think I figured it out.

    I deleted the package, reinstalled and used my saved password and everything appears good.

    I still do not see where my wallet.json is in Application Support but, I guess that's for another day.

    i was getting same error on mac, resolved as bellow

    1. stopped Sia-UI , also confirmed that Siad is not running using "Activity Monitor", some time Siad remain running for some seconds. (stop siad manually or wait for few seconds)
    2. delete application from Applications folder
    3. re-extracted downloaded zip file Sia-UI-v1.0.2-darwin-x64.zip and moved the Sia-UI.app into Applications folder (dont run Sia-UI App from extracted folder)
    4. start Sia-UI.app from Applications folder
