When SIA-UI is set up ( via NAS) you can put your laptop offline?
-
I just managed to make an 500GB share on my NAS.
I can see this on my laptop via:
(1 )Explorer --> Networks --> Name NAS --> Sharename(Siarental500GB)
(2) I made an network mapping: Siarental500GB (\Nas name) S:
Which one I have to connect to SIA-ui program at add storage folder?
The main question is. After setting up this storage folders, with al his settings, and it has been announced, is it than possible to turn my laptop offline, so only my NAS is online?
Or you always need to have the following items ALWAYS online:
(1) your laptop online?
(2) Sia-ui have to be online?
(3) wallet have to be unlocked?I would like to share my Nas devices, because they are stored in a good place were i cannot see them, and I would not like to see mt laptop standing always on the table

Your Sia client is installed on the laptop. Of course you can't turn that off. It doesn't matter where your storage is, that's just storage. Your client is handling the work and that is where your wallet it. Which must remain unlocked.

Baiscally - No
But if you have a high qulity Enterprise grade NAS, there will be possiblitly that you will be able to run the SiaUI directly on the NAS too.
In that case, you will be able to turn youf Laptop for good.
There was a really goood blog on "How to run SiaUI on a NAS". Just search that blog on the internet. I could not run thsame on my NAS becure my nas is SMB (small medium business) grade NAS.
