Not able to increase the Storage Host Space. Getting error message.

  • Can some one help me.
Almost a month back when I started SiaHost, I was able to successfully increase my hosting space for 100 GB to 1.6 TB.

Today I am trying to increase the hosting size from 1.6 TB to 2.5 TB (I have enough space) and got the below error message.

I have 0 (Zero) active contracts as of today.

I am getting the below error. Same one Please hlep.

    Error Tiltle: Error Resizing Folder

could not allocate storage folder: truncate S:\siahostdata.data: The device is not ready.

Guys, I solved this problem. Writing back to keep everybody updated.
When I wanted to increase the storage space of my host from 1.6 TB to 2.5 TB, the first thing I had to do normally was that I had to increase the size of LUN on my NAS from 1.6 TB to 2.5 TB.
I did that in my NAS settings. While increasing this, NAS did highlighted that before increasing the LUN size, any client (OS) using the LUN/iTarget should first be disconnected. I did not do that as in some previous instances, when I did the same, windows were not having any trouble.

What I simply did was – Restarted the computer, which I never preferred in order to maintain 100% uptime so far. One thing I noticed that while restarting the computer, Window 10 also configured the Windows update. A quick google on Microsoft help sites, also hinted that it happens sometime when windows drivers are updated or something similar post a windows update.

So I am not sure, what was the actual problem, weather it was a problem the way I increased the LUN space or it was Windows Update which needed a reboot.
Ultimately my problem is solved by a simple reboot. I have successfully increased my SIA HOST size from 1.6 TB to 2.5 TB.
