    Hi all, when u recover a wallet apparently siacoin wallet sweeps the coins from the old address to the new addresss automatically I didn't realize this and I thought my wallet would have the same seed as the old one since I was just recovering it, however the funds were swept to the new wallet which apparently had a new seed that I did not back up and I cannot access. I thought I had set a password for this wallet but it's not working, and I don't have the seed for the new wallet so it is locked can anyone advise is there anything that can be done without the seed for the new wallet?

    @azoya12 Unless you can recover your seed you likely cannot recover your coins. No one can have the same seed. Since your password is the seed you cannot have the same password either unless you use the custom password feature. If you used the custom password feature you can delete your wallet and reinstall it and the password will then be the same as your seed again. Good luck.

    Hello there!!

    Sorry, yes, I'm using Mac OS (desktop wallet). But I'm having the same problem and from the help gotten and still waiting, can't log on my wallet with the pass/seed given.

    The zip file downloaded from sia.tech contains the application file, 2 text files and one html licence file!! No other folder or new files were added.

    The path to wallet.db is $HOME/Library/Application Support/Sia-UI/sia/wallet.

    But if I go to Application Support, in my computer, I don't have the Sia folder.

    I'm really starting to stress about it!!

    But if I just recovered and didn't create a new wallet shouldn't the old seed be linked to where my coins were swept?

    @azoya12 If you didn't create a new wallet then you only swept your coins to itself. If you swept to another wallet then you had to have created another wallet for which it sounds you do not have the password for. If you have a seed try the wallet website in my signature.

    @Dizz Sorry I can't even begin to comprehend Mac OS. I'm not even sure why it's still supported. You can either way for someone who knows more about Mac or upgrade to Windows 10. If you have your seed you could try the wallet in my signature.

    I did only a recover however the transaction shows the funds were swept and they are not in the account I do not understand why this is
