Best way to invest 10k on hosting storage. What equipment would give me most bang for my buck and ease of use for a very new person to it all.

Anyone host storage on large scale? I have a lot of faith in Sia and see it being more profitable for me to store date than anything else. I live in Little Rock Arkansas and we have very cheap power and I also have solar panels that brings my bills down to very little. So what would you do, or have done in regards to Hardware and Computer to run said hardware.

taek had a good post on this a while back. I'll see if I can find it.
For $10k, you could go a few different ways.
- Single PC (essentially) with extra SATA slots via expansion cards. You would add the cards to the mobo and need to custom some sort of way of mounting all the drives. This could be a metal frame in which they attached or a modified PC case or something else. This method requires a lot of RAM. I think taek calculated a theoretical rig and it needed 96GB of RAM!
- SiaBerry! You could run a number SiaBerry on a bunch of Raspberry Pis with external drives attached to them. Low cost for equipment makes it simple to replace broke rig equipment. Probably the easiest to use method
- You could setup a rack. U19 or smaller. This is a much more expensive way, but I haven't done the costing on it as I'm not interested.
Hope this helps.

Only just discovered Siacoin this side. First post!
Regret not having known about it earlier. Believe in it this side too though!
Quick questions:
- how cheap is cheap power in Arkansas?
- how much storage do you think you would end up getting if you went for either of the approaches eckomega outlined?
Cheers.
