Sia 1.0 - Add Storage Folder Error

Oh? Strange.
Maybe something with the \AppData\Roaming\ folder? Can the wallet be there? Sorry, i don't use the UI, so probably cannot help you any further.

right click the file Sia-UI.exe -> Run As Administrator

no good. same error.

@niiiro Can you do it without the symlink G:\Sia ? (not on windows, so shooting in the blind here)

You need to run

siad as administrator

It was resolved by moving Sia's original installation directory to a different location.

@niiiro How did you change the installation directory? When I run sia it goes back and recreates the folders in the default folder Users/appdata/roaming/sia/

Ruuning sia as an Administrator worked for me, didn't need to change file locations.

For others with the same problem, note that there was a bug in Sia-UI v1.0.0 where siad was not launched with admin privileges even if you launched Sia-UI as admin. This was fixed in Sia-UI v1.0.1. Another workaround is to launch siad from an admin command prompt, and then launch Sia-UI -- it will automatically connect to siad.
