Wallet won't finish loading

i've been trying to start my wallet for some time now. I get the following. What are my next steps to restore my wallet? Thanks much for any suggestions!

Thank you. I have installed the new 3.1 wallet.

I am following the instructions at the link below to recover my wallet from an old seed:

After entering in both the old password and the old seed I get the following. Can you suggest a next step?

Update -

I uninstalled and reinstalled my wallet and was finally prompted to enter in my seed. It appears to have accpeted my seed, but I get the following when I enter in my password (and the wallet shows 0 coins - there should be just over 500). But I'm using the password I created originally so not sure why it's not working here.

"error when calling /wallet/unlock: provided encryption key is incorrect"

And now here is (hopefully) my final update. When i was asked for my password, it was suggested that I try entering in my seed instead. So I did. And Voila! My coins have shown up in my wallet.

I have tried 3 times from 3 different pc's and it doesnt take the password nor seed supplied and says wallet locked. What can I do now to unlock the wallet and retrieve a new adress? I have all the info, it just doesnt take it.
