Hello @Sandblock
I have sent siacoins from bittrex to my 1.3.0 wallet yesterday 2/12/18. While synchronizing i realized that was an update to v1.3.1 so i did it. Now, my wallet is already synchronized to block 139885, shows my balance and all prior transactions except this last one and no coins yet deposited.
txid: d51cbf29df069d441b089a37e18e70e15629ad2f0e1945afedb3c29c1437d52a

Could you help me, please ?
Also, how many confirmations does the transaction need?Thanks in advance

I set up Siacoin mining on Nanopool a while ago with one of my wallet's addresses.
It's this address: 3131845b702c0aa9bd0b9dbc7eb102ebbf0b46a7625bddc654403a7a92282cb4815363c8a94dRecently I reformatted my computer and recovered my wallet through the original seed. I am sure it's the correct seed since I only created one Sia wallet ever.
So after syncing the blockchain and recovering the wallet from the seed I successfully unlocked the wallet using the old (original) key.
However, when I type "wallet addresses" in the terminal, it only shows 2 addresses:
81816155b304947d5026436b91e4b116887ce520d0637467583a0c8a40173b384ac91be4278f

Did I lose the Siacoins that I have mined?
Is it possible to recover old addresses?
How is is possible that old addresses are not showing up after recovering using the original seed?

@BlackAdder
You do not need to worry as long as you are using the same seed you use to generate the wallet address. All the address generated are linked to your seed forever.0Find me on the Official Sia Discord.

You do not need to worry as long as you are using the same seed you use to generate the wallet address. All the address generated are linked to your seed forever.Please explain this. I have the same issue, recovered from seed and none of the receiver addresses are recovered, the balance in the recovered wallet does not increase.
-
Does anyone have any info on how to recover the receiver addresses in a recovered wallet?
The wallet was recovered using the seed to new v1.3.2 wallet. All coins were recovered to the new wallet. None of the original receiver addresses were recovered and do not appear if the "wallet addresses" list. The new balance does not increase when coins sent to original receiver addresses.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@bubbletech
I think it is normal for your address to not appear when you runwallet addressesin the terminal of Sia-UI after you recover your wallet but you will still receive the coins from the old address. What is your blockheight? Make sure you are not stuck on block 139,885. You may try these methods to recover your lost transaction.0Find me on the Official Sia Discord.

Not stuck, everything is in sync. I was able to recover my old wallet from the failed drive and load it. The old wallet shows the sweep and all the coins moved to the new wallet, but also shows all the new transactions that have happened since the sweep. These new transactions are not list and the additional coins not reflected in the new wallet balance.
-
@bubbletech
Hmm if I understand correctly, you now have- Seed A, old seed in a failed drive
- Seed B, newly generated seed
So, you swept seed A to seed B, therefore the balance of seed A is transferred to address generated by seed B.
If you continue to use an address generated by seed A, it will only appear in seed A because wallet addresses are not transferred when you sweep a wallet, only the balance in it is transferred.
Therefore, if you only want to receive coin for seed B, you should stop using the wallet address generated by seed A and use a new address generated by seed B. Then, transfer everything from seed A to seed B by sweeping seed A to seed B.0Find me on the Official Sia Discord.

@SandBlock
OK, so it is true then that the seed recovery does not recover the old receiver addresses, leaving these address unusable in the new wallet.
That said there is no usefulness to having a seed recovery process. The only way to recover a wallet is to have a copy of the wallet files to recover from. The seed recovery process is an incomplete one and should not be used as a recovery method.This is like having backup software to recover your files, but it wont recover you folders. All your file will be restored into the root of you system dive.
I will have to rework my wallets to get them back in a usable state. Thank you for your help.
