Few Newb questions
-
I am mining on Marlin and I was using one receive address and now I am using another (I lost it, I'm a newb remember?). Will Marlin payout the 500 when it owes my wallet, or when it owes the receive address? Also, if I generate a new address this does not delete all previous ones generated, correct? I know I read somewhere that this doesn't delete them, but I just want to be sure. Thanks everyone.
EDIT 1: Also My wallet is now 99.2% synched but NOT SYNCHRONIZING. I've heard of people having to reinstall the wallet entirely when this happens. Is there anyway around that, and could it be caused by my starting to mine?
EDIT 2: It also says my Hash (receive address) isn't found in the database, but it's copy and pasted from the Sia Wallet when it was synchronized.

Marlin is a mining software, but i think your are mining on a pool (siamining ?)
If you mine on a pool, what you mine on the adresse is related to this adress. But i think you can find your adresses with sia software.
Go on terminal tab in SIA-UI and type "wallet addresses".
It will show you all adresses related to your wallet.

Gah, thank you! I got it worked out now for the most part. Still not understanding why Siamining.com is saying that my addresses can't be found tho. Could that be because my wallet isn't synching?

You have to setup your address and the pool in the marlin software.
As soon as marlin submits any work, you can see your result by entering your address on the pool website. This is independent from your wallet.

So, I've put in my wallet password into a new SIA UI on a new computer and the list of addresses I get when I type in wallet addresses is completely different than the the wallet on my original computer. Is my wallet completely new or are the addresses only going to read per computer or what?

I think you have created a new wallet on your new computer.
What i do to "export" my wallet from one computer to an other is copying the wallet.db file...
But i think it's not the ellegant way.
Maybe with "wallet init-seed".I've seen also in v1.3.0, that wallet can be share between computer.
Do not know if it's with "wallet init-seed" or something else.I'm also new in sia :)
