How to mine SIA with a proxified internet connection
-
Hi,
I'm a newbie to the mining and I've recently setup a mining process in my GPU. But unfortunately I cannot mine properly since my Internet connection is proxified (Like it has an IP and a port , and in order to login to the Internet I have a separate username and password).
I'm using Marlin and do help me to solve this.
Regards.

The quick and dirty answer: just try.You need a "allways on" internet connection to mine. Sia or marlin can not manage that. You need to make some "auto sign-on" for your internet connection if you get disconnected regularly and need to resupply your login and network password.
Edit:
As a hint. Sometimes it helps to maintain the internet connection on if you have some activity un the http or https ports.
For example, let a youtube playlist autoplay...I think you can not mine if your "proxified" connection allows you only connections to ports 80 and 443 and all other ports are closed. That would be a normal situation if you are on some "corporate" (filtered) network in which case I suggest you not to mine anyway. It could cost you your job.

@Crypto_Ruwa Are you using windows for your proxy or third party?

@Crypto_Ruwa I went ahead and tested it when I got home. While on privateinternetaccess.com proxy with username and password I had no trouble mining with marlin.
But now that I think about it you're probably talking about your browser. Probably can't do it that way.
