@bryan I'll only respond in this thread from now on, do not want to hijack the other guy's thread. It looks like the backup wallet function is also behind the locked wallet problem. How to backup wallet otherwise? I assume you mean backup onto an external drive or do you mean something else?

@bryan Hi Bryan Im having the same problem I have just downloaded my wallet and it had this error message pop up before I even tried to enter my password for the first time. I have made a copy and deleted the file/s, now downloaded another wallet but it just duplicated the same wallet and has the same problem. Not sure what to do?

@bryan thanks for your reply. Im 100% its correct unless I typed it in incorrectly twice. When I deleted the original file and downloaded the wallet again, the wallet reopened and was synchronised to 99.1% again just like the wallet when it opens. I thought I would have to create a new wallet from scratch to fix a corrupted files. Im conscerned as I have already deposited funds. Thanks for your help

@gibson77 You can delete the wallet and recover it again. You should just copy and paste the passphrase though. I couldn't imagine actually typing that.

@gibson77 Make a copy of your current file for back up then delete the original.
%APPDATA%\Sia-UI\sia\wallet
reload sia make a brand new wallet. Then do recover with your first passphrase.
