To be a host, does my hard drive need to connect to network all the time?

Do I have to keep my disk connected to network all the time to be a host?
(I can't turn off my computer if some one use my HDD drive for storage?)

@YJXsia you must maintain 95% uptime or it will start deducting your collateral. So basically the pc needs to be online without interruption forever.
