Recovered Wallet with seed -- Does the old address still work?
-
Hello,
I recently made the mistake of formatting my computer without backing up the wallet file. Thankfully, I was able to retrieve the old wallet with the seed. The problem is, the mine has continued to run throughout going to the old address.
Should I stop the mine now and forward them to the new address? Or will the old address still link up to the new wallet I created?
Thanks.

Yes, address is bound to a wallet. By restoring your wallet from seed you recover all addresses belonging to that seed too.
So, you can continue mining to your old address, no need to change.

@reinisp Great. Thanks for the info.

I just got a payout from SIAmining and the transaction is confirmed. I sync'ed the blockchain, but the SC isn't in my new wallet. What should I do?

@wata911
By "transaction confirmed" you mean visible on Sia exploerer?
Then I have no clue. I have never ever changed my address for receiving coins from pool, reinstalled (recovered from seed) and/or updated (upgraded) my wallet a couple of times and had no problems receiving my coins.
You should probably look at the word "sweep" somewhere. It sounds suspicious and dangerous for me but english isn' t my native language and it could be the function you could call.
