All my files are gone.

I went to retrieve my files and every single one of them was able to be recovered from the hundreds that I uploaded. Photos, backup zip files etc. All gone. Also. . . wallet is empty. $30 US Dollars sucked up to who knows where. Shouldn't I be compensated for the contracts that failed to hold my files? I thought I understood what sia was but I feel like this is all a big scam. :-(

Sounds bad.
What does it say, why can't your files be recovered?
Can you find something suspicious in your renter.log file?

Could it be that your wallet balance is zero, thus you can't pay the download fees?

Somehow there was a transaction where 1700 coins were transferred out of my wallet. So now there is zero. I'm done. Deleted all the files. This technology is just too new to be of any use currently.
