Sia-ui wallet - Synchronizing

Hello i am really struggling to understand this wallet, it is taking forever to synchronize.
I then found a torrent with a 4.2 GB file called consensus.db
I then renamed my old one in the %appdata% folder and then saved the torrent one.
I open the wallet and it says it is loading... but it only says this for the past 5-6 hours, its ridiculous.
I then closed the Sia-ui wallet and i can see the consensus.db file has grown to 5.GB
what the hell is going on why is this wallet so ugly to deal with , it doesnt let the user know what is going on.
This is a popular coin too so not make it more user friendly so it can be loved more.
I am still not synchronized so what do i do now?

@lankyman I wouldn't be out trusting torrented files with your coins. Best to let it sync on its own. It's designed to stay running for long periods of time. Could take days at this point.

If you don't want to sync you can leave your coins in an exchange. Theres really no reason to even use the wallet unless you're going to host or rent hard drive space.

I agree it isn't very user friendly. It's still early.
