Host Unreachable

  • Earlier I posted for advice on my inability to get contracts. Now I am seeing a problem that is probably affecting that issue.

I am getting Host Unreachable: Check your UPNP or NAT settings. My internet connectivity is fine. The problem goes away if I exit the UI and restart. Then reappears after a while.

I'm close to removing this HD form Sia and exiling it to Burst mining, please help me sort this out!

  • If your host is not connecting its due to having the ports 9981 and 9982 closed. If u run router.. open them there and also at any firewall level. This will block the software from allowing you t be a host. But I dont blame you for going to BURST. This is a cluster fuck and a half lol

  • @moorsc0de Thanks I just saw there was another thread on this issue but I appreciate your help & think Sia hosting is a long way from being user friendly. I took 10TB away from Burst mining for Storj & Sia in the same week Burst gained 20% in value, oh well live & learn :P

  • @moorsc0de P>S if it's a port issue, why would it connect fine for an hour or so then drop?!

  • @ArthurPug

I had the same problem and found the solution: In the windows application in the terminal window type: "host config netaddress xxx.myfritz.net:9982" (exchange the dynamic address obviously!)

then reannounce your host and it works after for example a 24 hour reconnect accompanied by a new IP.

Best wishes from Germany, land of the dyn ip ;)
