How to unlock wallet after SIA UI download

I have downloaded the SIA UI and synchronized (took days). The wallet says it's locked but I don't have a password or seed to unlock it. Please help.

@loosewolf When you created a wallet it should have given you a string of words. That string is your password. If you don't have that string that wallet is likely lost forever and you'll have to make a new one.

To make a new one you'll have to go into your app data and delete a folder named wallet. Make sure sia client is completely closed and not running when you do this. Then restart sia and make a new wallet.

@bryan Thanks for the reply. I have deleted the wallet, deleted the entire folder, and reinstalled SIA multiple times and not once have I "created" a wallet. Am I missing a step? I am trying to follow the "Get Started" instructions from Sia.tech. Once I open Sia, I see the menu on the left, version 1.2.2. When I click on hosting, I get "You must unlock the wallet to host files". When I click on Wallet, I get "Wallet Locked. Enter your wallet password to unlock the wallet". I do not have a wallet password. At what point did I create a wallet? The same messages occurred when I deleted the wallet folder as well as reinstalled.

@loosewolf So it should say create wallet if you haven't created a wallet.

@bryan That would be a great video if it worked like that for me. As I mentioned, every time I go to wallet it thinks one exists. I never had the option to create a wallet and certainly never saw my seed. This is very frustrating.

I had the same issue. Deleting the wallet.db and wallet.log enabled the wallet creation step in the GUI.
