Lower than expected hash rate (nvidia 1060)

@friskyd It'll bounce around quite a bit.

@bryan you wouldn't know what type of hashrate a RX 580 gets would you?
I know they're out of stock at the moment globally but I'm looking at getting one to replace my 1060 when I can find one and was wondering if it would be worth it.
Thanks again

@friskyd I do not know. I'd imagine near 2k. I can't get a hold of any because they're sold out or 200$ over priced.

@bryan Is there a reason why hash rates bounce around?
Sometimes I can get a good hash rate of between 1100-1400MH/s and at other times I can get as low as 600-700MH/s.
Thanks

@friskyd Check the heats. If the heats are too high the cards will drop hashrates. On oneof my rigs I lose about 300mhs simply because it is in a regular computer case and not open air so it can't stay cool. Also CCminer is a bit more stable than Marlin.

Hashrates also change based on how luck you get.
The pool reports a rolling average based on how many shares you have submitted over time.

Hi again,
Thanks for the responses.
The card reports at temperature of about 60 degrees celcius when hashing at about 900 - 1000MH/s.
I've opened up my case and those temps have dropped to the mid 50's while hashing at about the same rate.
My cards an Asus dual OC 1060 6GB card (1,809Mhz core and 8,008Mhz memory) and I've also played around with the core speed, voltages and fan speeds and don't get any increase in hash rates.
It must be a pool issue I guess.
My mining stats are in the link above if anyone cares to provide comments.
Thanks again.

@friskyd Trying to OC GTX is really goofy. I've yet to master it myself.

My hash rates seem to be decreasing and are now down to 940MH/s.
Should they be increasing if I’ve been mining for about a week?
Also is it possible to configure Marlin to use another pool as my card seems to be capable of anywhere between 1,200 and 1,400MH/s.
