Not enough contracts

  • Hi,
So I wanted to test the file upload function after having created an allowance. It quickly went to 6 contracts, but has been stuck there for 24 hours. I've tried restarting the software, deleting hosts.db and restarting the software, and enabling upnp on my router. Any ideas?

I'm using Sia UI 1.2.2 on xubuntu.

    Thanks

  • @pixljuice why would you delete the hosts.db file? The question appears to be riddled with some other issues that could be creating a number of problems.

  • Simply because someone else suggested that in another post somewhere. Needless to say it made no difference.

  • It's hard to debug a financial algorithm without knowing a lot more... let's try with a few simple questions!

Do you have enough funds in your wallet?
    How big is the file?
What's the allowance (i.e. are there enough hosts that would form a deal with you based on what you're willing to spend?
What happens if you upload another (small) file?
What happens if you increase the allowance and then try again?
    ...

  • There is plenty of funds in my wallet, the allowance was allocated fine.

I can't upload any files because I don't have enough contracts, I'm stuck at 6 but I think I need 12 to upload any files.

The allowance was 2000sc. Its used 90sc so far on contracts.

The problem I think is for some reason it hasn't formed enough contracts

I get that - most of my questions were trying to narrow down why you don't get more contracts!

  • Its working fine now, I have 50 contracts. I opened my wallet last night to move some sc, and it took a while to confirm a bunch of transactions from when I set the allowance, so I think the problem was between keyboard and chair :)
