GPU Supplier

Does anyone have a line on a supplier that isn't price gouged?

Whoaa. My supplier told me that all are sold, next delivery estimated in 3-5 weeks. All RX x70/x80 are all sold. Even the bigger markets like Germany are empty. Not a single piece laying around at the wholesale stores.
Nvidias 1070 are deficit here (Latvia) too. only a couple of 1060 and a couple of 1080 are left...

@reinisp I even tried about 30 Chinese suppliers and they won't even respond when asked for GPUs. I've been picking them up off of craigslist bottom of the barrel.

If you can live with nvidia, you can try Alternate from Germany. They at least have some GTX 1070 and 1080 on stock. The question is if they ship to your part of the world. German shops are sometimes silly and don't ship even to all EU countries.

@reinisp I don't have a problem running Nvdia but the ROI is too far out to make a profit at 500$ per card and they don't even out perform the 480 that's nearly half price. If the ROI is longer than 2.5 months I don't even get involved.

I tried a 1060 a while ago and saw it mining ETH a bit (~1MH/s) slower than rx470. But at that time the 1060 was ~40% more expensive than the rx470.
Now they look ~20% more expensive than rx570 (theoretically) but I don't know if the miners are optimised for nvidia as good as for amd. Claymore has done a great job optimising the OpenCL part, so if the CUDA part is not so good, the difference in Hashrate/$ could be even bigger.

@reinisp Yeah I just learned not that long ago how to overclock properly with Claymore. It makes a world of difference. If you could get some ridiculous hash rate from overclocking 1080s they'd totally be worth 500$. I've pulled 35MH/s on simple R9 290s if I could just keep the room cold enough. But back then 290s were only $150. Now they're $300+.
I tried these chinese suppliers on alibaba but they're all scams.
