Basic knowledge and storage location

Hello,

I bought some SIA and would like to host my own wallet so that the coins dont stay at poloniex... I'm really interested in the technology too but am going to have a few basic questions:

• do I need a full node to store my SIA?
• can I define a custom storage location ? (because my hard drive is full.. need to relocate)

I would advise not to transfer from polo. You can choose where the files are stored. You have to run the client the whole time.
