Does the command "wallet addresses" display all addresses ever created for a wallet?

  • Or just those generated with the given iteration of the UI? I made a wallet with Sia UI running on my PC, and I thought I had put my seed into a text file, along with my address (this was a while ago, so I could be remembering wrongly, but my posts from this time back this up). I now have that text file on my laptop, but the seed shows a balance of 0 SC and the command "wallet addresses" does not display the address. This is annoying as the address has some Sia in it.
TL:DR when the command "wallet addresses" is put into the UI terminal, is it possible for it to not display an address generated with an old version of the UI on a different computer?

  • Please help, I really would like to get this wallet back, but if I can't I'd like to know

  • Do not run one wallet on two computers.

You should close Sia --> "quit" in tray Sia icon.

    Rename WALLET folder in:
    (WIN) %UserProfile%\AppData\Roaming\Sia-UI\sia
    (LINUX) ~/.config/Sia-UI/sia/
    (Mac) ~/Library/Application Support/Sia-UI/sia/

Run Sia UI 1.2.2 then click "Load a wallet from a seed" and enter you seed backup.
This will create new wallet based on your seed. Sync wallet, unlock wallet.
