What is the total amount of siacoins to be issued and over what period of time?

What is the total amount of siacoins to be issued and over what period of time? Is the issuance capped at all? I haven't been able to find anything, except for the siafund, which apparently it's where the real currency lies. Are siacoins proxies of siafunds?
