Sia Wallet Can't Install Latest Version?

    Hi Guys,

    I've been looking around it seems like everybody is having this same issue.

    I'm currently mining SiaCoin at the moment.

    I've downloaded the wallet both on windows 10 laptop and my mining rig on linux. Both have the same error messages.

    For whatever reason, neither of them can finish syncing without an error message. Anybody got a fix?

    Even an alternative wallet where I can plug in my seed would work. At the moment, my mining efforts are going towards a wallet address that I can't even open.

    Sia is stuck at 99% atm.

    I tried installing in Windows 10 on my laptop before but I gets stuck around 32%. Saved the key from that one and decidedto directly open it from another computer on linux. The sync keeps failing at 99% atm.

    I really don't know what gives. Here's the error message:

    (1/6) Loading gateway...
    (2/6) Loading consensus...
    (3/6) Loading transaction pool...
    (4/6) Loading wallet...
    (5/6) Loading host...
    (6/6) Loading renter...

    Please let me know. Do not want to waste M/hash and electricity.

    If there's a trick I'd like to know to kick it over to 100% sync.

    If there's a trustworthy paper wallet option or something I'd like to know that as well. Just desperate to have a wallet that's safe and secure, not on exchange.

    @Crypto_Addict for the paper wallet, note your seed on a piece of paper and remove all traces of Sia from your computer, that's it.

    @maol Would I need any other files from the wallet in order to restore?

    Also, would this seed only work with this wallet or others as well?

    Been days and still keep getting errors and problems getting the siawallet to finish syncing.

    Make sure you tag me @bryan if you need to me respond.

    @Crypto_Addict seed is tied to this wallet, and it's everything you need to recover the wallet and all its addresses & transactions. At least that's what I'm told, haven't tried it myself, tbh :)
