    Hi all,

    I am quite new for mining.
    Just for fun I tried once BitCoin mainig, but now I found this Sia and get excited about it and idea behind it.

    So I started mining and I am using mining pool.

    As my computer is not designed for Mining so it do not do it quite well.
    I do not looking to get massive profit out of it... just to cover my SIA usage and now trying to get my first 2kSC to start to use it.

    If I understand correctly SC uses different algorithm that excample BitCoin?
    For speed up of mining Inwas thinking to buy USB ASIC miner... do those work with SiaCoin with "miner softwares"?

    As I said I am noob with this and trying to learn how much this thing works! ;)

    As far as I've seen, no there is no ASIC hardware you can buy for Sia (it's perfectly minable with GPUs right now).

    Are asic miners preconfigured and locked?
    So so you can not use them as you like?

    I mean like attach USB asic to your computer and then use it with SC miner?

    @jlahtela there are currently no ASIC miners afaik. Your best best is GPU mining device at the moment.
