Coincidence that SC withdrawls disabled on POLO and pulled from Shapeshift?
-
I find that fact that SC was pulled off shapeshift and withdrawls being disabled from POLO a bit disconcerting. Couple that with all these reports of SC disappearing transferring out of POLO, and no developers or mods commenting on any of it. Something is starting to smell with this whole thing. Comments.....

I wish someone from the Dev team would get on here and let everyone know what is going on. This is the kind of thing that kills faith in the project and hampers it;s long term growth.

I'm not SIA, but I've contacted ShapEshift, and they say Siaconis are down for maintenance... SHould be up soon again..
-
tldr; the issue is Poloniex and you'll get your coins back, just not quickly!
Personally, I'd prefer the SIA devs focused on making their awesome product and not worrying about the issues of an exchange. The devs have outlined in other posts regarding that it's not an issue with SIA at all, and that the issue lies with Poloniex ( ref: https://forum.sia.tech/topic/965/lost-transfer-of-siacoin-from-poloniex/9 ) . The issue ultimately is the fact that Poloniex is largely quiet on this matter - they're very bad communicators.
It is my understanding that the wallet on Poloniex is down for maintenance, just as the ShapeShift one is, because they are upgrading to the new version. If you read other posts on this forum you'll find lots of other people going through the same issue, and some people (ref: https://forum.sia.tech/topic/965/lost-transfer-of-siacoin-from-poloniex/17) have already recovered the lost coins from Poloniex via support ticket. Understand that Poloniex support is under extreme pressure right now with a massive influx of new users and the lead time on replies to tickets is 4+ days.

thanks for the information. I reached out to Shapeshift on twitter the other day and they said they were working on it but no details. They did respond. Polo has been silent on this. I understand that the volumes and growth are stressing their ability to deal with things, but simple communications or statuses posted periodically on their site would go along way to alleviate concerns. IMHO there is no excuse for an exchange transacting those volumes of peoples money/coins to not communicate with the customers more clearly. They are taking the trabsaction fees on every transaction. Hire a staffer to do communication!

@siarunner Couldnt agree more, they are making more than a million a day in income and they cant afford $1000 a day to pay a few people to respond to tickets with some basic acknowledgement and update. They deserve to have the crap sued out of them and I may be just one of the many to do it as they have lost 300,000SC of mine and havent bothered to respond once in 7 days to my ticket and when asking details about ticket queue in the troll box I just get ban hammered. At this point, Polo deserves to fail or at minimum fall to second or 5th place among exchanges, its time another exchange had their day, polo has failed. I do wish a SIA representative would step up and say something because if this is a SIA issue and I sue Polo, they will just turn around and sue SIA which wont help the other SIA in my wallet but at this point, if the problem is polo, they are doing more and more damage to sia value the longer this goes on.
