  thanks .. makes sense. I actually found Discord before this forum so I'm already there, just trying to figure out what kinds of questions get answered where.

  you can confirm that the transaction actually occurred using block explorer. If that's confirmed, you can troubleshoot the client synchronization. For me, to fully sync the first time I had to manually enter peers to sync with. There is a site that provides current "gateway" addresses or peer addresses

  I have an excellent internet connection, the best u can find ine Eastern Europe. Indeed, processor is i5, but still, to slow to bother syncronizing.
  Thank you for replying. I have read more on this forum in them meantime, and I don’t find any positive thoughts about this coin anymore. All ppl complaining.

  I am facing the same problem. I have the same Txid ie. f872a3f1436e8c4f701e24eaf79415dbf0ea9107a8bdcd9a7a062595da172e01

  I sent 27061 SC Coins from Poloniex to Bittrex on 8th December. Today is 25 December. No instance of coins till date. Filed a support ticket with both Polo and Bittrex. Nothing has helped.

  Check the explorer https://explore.sia.tech/ if your address received any coins. If not, then open a ticket with the exchange, they didn't send the coins.

  Seed and password can be used interchangeably. You need one of them to unlock the wallet, none of the files stored in your Sia backups will help you recover the seed. You can try bruteforcing the seed if you remember parts of it.

  Sorry folks, Sia is not quite ready for people who won't read the manual and instead just ask in the forum. Never trust your money (or storage) to a system that you don't understand - unless that system is finished and polished enough for end users. Which Sia isn't. It's your call - either figure out how this works, or wait some more time to start playing with Sia, when it's ready for prime time.
