  Hey thanks for your reply.

  When I went on Changelly.com and hit the send to I entered in symbol "sc" as in "siacoin" and it seems it came up with "SysCoin"... close but obviously the wrong coin! My bad! Gzzzzz, too early on a Monday morning without coffee to be trading I guess. :)

  I will grab some SiaCoin on Bitrex.

  what is neceassary to backup to prevent collaterallost?

  Only all the config in .config/Sia-UI/. (Linux) Or is it mandatory to backup also the hole data from the hostet Folder? So when i hostet 1 TB I Need to backup 1 TB?

  Hello everyone,

  I'm back. Amazingly I doubled my number of contracts since last week. I'm at 17 now. Most are small one. That being said, I doubled my price for upload, download and contract price while keeping my collateral to near 0. Feels good. with 10 more contracts I'll be profitable sia wise, not money wise... YET!

  @NR2B Hosting is not a get rich quick scheme. It's meant to undercut the outrageous prices of hosting and bandwidth from big corporations. That being said you're not likely going to make profits at this time. Maybe once we get a lot more utilization.

  Yes it must always be operational to all people to upload and download files. Also the Sia-UI must also be running all the time to accept new contracts and perform other blockchain transactions related to hosting.

  By the way, thanks for your reply. I'm trying Bittrex. Do you know how much fee their apply? Do they require ID to complete registration?

  please provide detailed file/folder names, I have a month old host and a new machine dedicated to continue hosting. i am not entirely sure exactly what files to move and what files not to move. i am not the expert but i can follow instructions written for my level. Thank you in advance. im also having problems resizing my data folder, i set it up originally with 700GB. i have 11.3 gb of data stored. i dont have a flash drive thats 700gb so in my mind i think resizing the folder down to the minimum will help me move the files to the new machine. all help is appreciated.

  It's easy, just clone their github and start using it!

  If you want more people to use, then you might want to look into getting a purpose and reason for using a blockchain, open source development, marketing and all these other things that come with trying to get others to use your product... oh, and let's not forget, you'll also need somebody to develop & support that blockchain application :)

  Had that covered. What I was asking was more structural. Unless I missed something, I can’t find any statement from the project leadership on “guidelines for acceptable content”. I suppose that’s by design. Anyhow, not hating on the project, just determining it’s intended boundaries.

  Collateral is locked for the duration of the contract. I think you may get some back afterwards if the renter never tries to use the storage, but that would only be after the contracts ended
