  Oh, I am see now where source of the problem. Not users files but sia DB with renter contracts...

  Actually contracts are stored in the blockchain. But only outdated versions - latest actual revisions of contracts are stored only locally on renter and host disks.
  Also contracts on blockchain do not include information about on which host each piece of user data was placed on.

  It is possible to restore/reconstruct all this data by querying all hosts in all active contracts renter have (and all base contracts and actual hosts addresses can be restored by scanning blockchain - only wallet/seed needed). But this functionality has not implemented yet - there are only plans for future development (ETA - next year in best case).

  So backup whole sia data folder (excluding blockchain) is a very good idea for now.

  At least there is no longer need to backup files uploaded to SIA itself. Lol without it (prior ver. 1.3.0) SIA was almost useless for actual data storage.

  Sia ui 1.3 didn't Start. Let it load for 2x 5 hours.
  1.2 was ready with Loading after 3 hours.
  I reinstalt, redownload 1.3 . Tryed it 2 Day's.

  Tryed 1.2 After that.

  Erased everything from 1.3 and 1.2 and cleaned the registry.

  This is after Windows 10 creator Update.

  Wen did you release a new Version.

  What would be the issue with doing big (100mb +) files? Would be nice to have some ballpark figure of maximum size that would be no problem to upload without any significant delays.

  The consumer side apps will come, the primary focus is ensuring all the backend bits work correctly.

  There is a nextcloud sia plugin.

  However, the issue with the qnaps and other small NAS's for example, is ram limitation. With only 1gb in your 459, that's just not enough to run the Sia Daemon.

  There will be work on consumer stuff, but Sia is still early in it's stages.

  Assuming you're using the GUI application It's stored in .config in your home directory.

  Take a look at ~/.config/Sia-UI
  The wallet is in ~/.config/Sia-UI/sia/wallet

  I think if you just delete the file/folder it should create a new one next time you start up.
  Bear in mind the blockchain file is in ~/.config/Sia-UI/sia/consensus so if you remove that it'll need to be downloaded again.

  Make a copy of ~/.config/Sia-UI before you do anything.

  This is very simple view of database, just to get some basic understanding about it contents.
  Nothing processed with any logic. Only currency view as SC, Filesize and Contract statuses.
  So close to raw data from sia daemon.
  And a lot trash actually like unresolved = failed attempts to make contract.

  To all those who claim WEb UI would mean centralization...

  You're imposing your view on usage of SIa and level of security on other users. I wonder if any dev would release such BS from their mouth as that web UI is impossible.What? Bitcoin is supposed ot be safe, other cryptocurrencies too and you have option to have cold wallet OR hot wallet in web UI... It is up to user to determine the risk factor,

  It is wrong to force anyone into any security measure. Look at someone who likes this idea but does not care so much about security of his files. Not every customer is going to store TOP SECRET data here - moreover when data can be lost with the new project like this.

  Nope.. Not really. Although named imports is a fundemantal feature in ES6, it is not implemented in Node.
  So really only one option here; use require.

  And using const sia = require('sia.js') should be enough if you installed using the --save flag.

  The set up around minebox is really sweet. Everything in a box, fire and forget.. nice
  ..however.. What the world need now is first of all solid and error free sia network ( I think there is a good road map already) and more services around it to really start boosting demand fro storage.
  Storage is already there in place in large quantity.
