Host blockchain not syncing

    I just noticed my host's blockchain is about 1500 blocks behind the explorer. I went looking for the usual culprits, but everything seems fine. Disk usage is near nothing, CPU is mostly idle, it has plenty of free RAM and the internet connection is very stable. After monitoring the ./siac consensus command for a while I notice the block height increases about every 20 minutes, which is way too slow.

    I checked consensus.log, but there are no recent messages.

    Does anyone know what could be the cause of the lag?

    @Fornax try shutting down or restarting your PC.

    Sometimes I notice the same and after restart it syncs better/faster.

    Restarting helped, it's synced now. This should still be fixed, as a reliable host it's not really an option to restart siad every few weeks.

    @Fornax agreed... it took me about 12 hours to sync the last 10% of the chain.

    By reading through the forum it seems like they are not really putting too much effort in rolling out an upgrade to improve chain sync, unfortunately.
