restore wallet from seed

Attempting to restore a wallet from the seed - I'm running sia node v1.3.1 on a fresh install of windows 10

After inputting the seed it said that my wallet was locked and asked for the password.
I just restored the wallet from the seed so I don't understand how the wallet is locked.

Any thoughts?

fixed my problem by restoring the wallet files from a backup but don't have an answer to why the restore from seed functionality of the UI didn't work for me

After restoring from seed, your seed is your password, you need to enter your seed to unlock your wallet after restoring from seed.
