Errors updating to 1.3.1

  • I downloaded 1.3.1 from the Sia website to update my old version and now I am getting this error in the Sia-UI interface:

A critical error loading Sia has occured: Siad unexpectedly exited. Error log: Sia Daemon v1.3.1 Loading... (0/6) Loading siad... (1/6) Loading gateway... (2/6) Loading consensus... difficulty adjustment hardfork incompatibility detected

    2 questions:

    1. How can I fix my wallet?
    2. If i have my Seed and password can I always get my coins? For instance, if I had my Sia-UI on my desktop and the computer crash, could I download the Sia-UI on another computer and retrieve my coins?

    Check this: https://blog.sia.tech/troubleshooting-the-recent-hardfork-ca77e0b17f0f
Deleting the consensus.db file will fix this error.

  • @SandBlock Thanks for the reply. My issue is that when I go into my Application Support folder the Sia-UI folder is no longer there. I downloaded the same update on my work computer and it seems to have unpacked fine. What do I do in the case where I download the Sia-UI 1.3, unpack it and the Sia-UI folder still doesn't show up in Application Support. Thanks so much for your help.

Maybe you can try the search function for your OS to search for consensus.db?

If you are on v1.3.1 and you can reach the About section in Sia-UI, there is a Show Sia Data button in there. Click that and it should bring you to where is the data stored on your computer, the consensus.db will be inside the folder.
